I’m still not sure if I would want to trust a product that cleans up your library rather than you having to do it. It’s best to do more research on this.

If you decide to do it manually through iTunes, you need to know all the information regarding the song file: song name, artist name, album name, genre, year and album art. Once you see this information you can sort and even confirm if indeed the files are duplicates. After using the plug-in, you will notice that all your songs will have the information listed above. When you sort the files by name or album, you will be able to confirm if indeed the files are duplicates.
